Writers Place Reading and Reception: Patrick Dobson and Max McCoy

The Writers Place welcomes you for networking and reception, a book sale and signing with local author Patrick Dobson and nationally recognized author Max McCoy at 1 p.m. Refreshments and light food served.

Stay for the reading from 2-4 p.m. Noted award-winning author Max McCoy will join Patrick Dobson in reading from their most recent work. Dobson is author of two travel memoirs published by the University of Nebraska Press, including the award-winning Canoeing the Great Plains: A Missouri River Summer. McCoy is an award-winning author and journalist with 24 books, has won the Kansas Notable Book Award twice, and is a professor of journalism and the director of the Center for Great Plains Studies at Emporia State. His most recent work, Elevations: A Personal Exploration of the Arkansas River was published by the University Press of Kansas. This event is free and open to the public.
