Applications must be of original work, completed in the last two years and not previously shown in The Artists Coalition’s Galleries. Selected proposals will be scheduled beginning in the summer of 2019.
All media is eligible. Work requiring special installation (including large or heavy works) will be accepted ONLY IF the artist is available to install the work.

Video artists. KCAC has 3 monitors (2x42" & 32") which may be available; otherwise artists must provide projectors for installations. Submit video stills and provide a links to videos online.
GALLERIES:
KCAC produces 7-8 exhibitions every year in each of these galleries. Artists are selected from an annual call for artists.

The Mallin Gallery is a loft type gallery with hardwood floors, track lighting and storefront windows with blinds.

Suspended lighting – 9½ feet from the floor in three banks, which run the length of the gallery East to West.

All artists are eligible for an exhibition in the Mallin Gallery including national and international artists.

The Jacqueline B. Charno Gallery is immediately accessible through the Mallin Gallery.

Suspended lighting – 9½ feet from the floor in three banks, which run the length of the gallery.
Hardwood floors
Regional and local artists are eligible for an exhibition in the Charno Gallery.

The Underground Gallery is KCAC’s exclusive member’s only gallery. It is located in Mel’s ArtSpace and is accessible through the Mallin Gallery.

Only current KCAC members are eligible for an exhibition in the Underground.

The Project Room is KCAC’s Snap Space Gallery for a 3 week long exhibitions.
Snap Space is slated for experimental exhibitions by artists 35 yoa and younger. Exhibitors are also encouraged to facilitate workshops, demonstrations, talks, or panels throughout the exhibition.

Only artists 35 yoa and under are eligible for a Snap Space exhibition.

KCAC carries Fine Art Insurance, however, artists must insure their work to and from the gallery. KCAC takes a 30% commission on works sold.
KCAC makes decisions to award solo, two-person, or group exhibits. Artists will be notified when decisions have been made.

Legal:
The Artist agrees to present only their own artwork, and that the artwork does not infringe any copyright or other rights of any third party, and the artist agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless KCAC and its directors, officers, employees and volunteers from any liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees) in the event that any third party claims that the artist's artwork infringes any copyright or other right of such third party.
The Artists must be over 18 years of age and able to enter into a legal contract.
