Arts Inspired Network

Arts Inspired Network’s purpose is to advance arts education by creating scholarship and grant opportunities while uniting artists and arts organizations through annual meetings, events, and performances. We seek to serve, strengthen, and inspire the artistic community in the Kansas City area.

Since our inception in 2013, we have worked to provide local inspiration and support through a variety of programs for local students and organizations. We have provided over $20,000.00 in student scholarships for summer artistic training through summer camps and intensives throughout the United States through our AIN Student INSPIRE Scholarship Fund. This not only inspired the students but supported arts organizations. In 2020, with Covid-19 and the challenges for the artistic community, we awarded 5 Courageous Creativity KC Challenge Awards to area professionals in different areas of the arts for their “courageous creativity” in Kansas City. In 2022, we awarded 4 AIN Artistic Project Impact Grant Kansas City totaling over $2700.00 to support the operational and administrative costs required to implement new artistic projects in the Kansas City area. We work with individual artists and smaller arts organizations that are in need of community support to assist in helping their artistic project become a reality. 

We actively seek out collaborative projects to unite and partner with artists and arts organizations, to impact students locally in unique and creative ways using the arts to those that are in life-challenging situations. Our PROJECT 51 Initiative believes, “Every Child Deserves to be Inspired in the Arts” regardless of life’s circumstances. This is our artistic outreach to low-income students in the Kansas City area. Since 2020 we have given away 10,415 art supplies into the hands of local students to inspire “individual creativity”. Our recipient organizations include Artists Helping the Homeless, Boys & Girls Clubs of Olathe, Catholic Charities of NE Kansas, Don Bosco Center/Bishop Miege High School, Kansas City Missouri Police Department, Mattie Rhodes Art Center, Olathe Public Schools McKinney Vento Program, The Spot/Olathe Public Schools, Relentless Pursuit, Safehome Domestic Violence Agency and String Sprouts KC. We believe in doing something for someone who can never repay us. Artistic Generosity has been one of our core values since we started in 2013.
