Pinnacle Winds

Established in 2021, Pinnacle Winds is seeking to become the first full-time, all-civilian, professional wind band created in America this century. Our goal is to bring the very best of the band’s rapidly expanding repertoire to a growing audience while providing outreach services to the band community in which we exist.

Pinnacle Winds was founded by its conductor, Dr. John Carmichael, Director of Bands Emeritus of the University of South Florida. While at USF, Dr. Carmichael also founded the Florida Winds, one of four total bands which he has founded.
