Hello my name is Stevie Tierney, I have been making art since I was nine years old. I started with basic sketching’s and drawings and advanced into more of a creative painting and ceramic glaze painting style, and even done as much as create my own tattoo. I have been painting for 3 years now and worked with a ceramic glaze painting for about 4 months. A lot of my work is based off my emotion, I put my thought and the words that cannot be spoken on to the canvas and paper. I have recently been painting fun and crazy pop art portraits, recreating old horror movie posters, painting self-portraits on ping pong tables and making ceramic tiles dedicated to some of my favorite rock bands. My pop art work is all the same in its own but different at the same time, I try to make every idea and visual of them different but I want them to look like they belong together. With my painting I always enjoy sketching them out first then really thinking of how I like to use my colors and where I want to place them, if it doesn’t feel right I just start over and rethink the ideas in my head until it feels right. My sketches all have this similar quality of being a darker, gothic but also generally a beautiful concept. They all can either portray a sadness or a complete happiness but in some way they just work together. Art is my escape from reality and I love getting to express it and share it with others, I enjoy what people have to say and what they think the art means to them. Because I believe whatever emotion I put on the canvas someone else could have a completely different perspective of and I found that very interesting
