Creating, building, and visually transforming place or surface has always been my passion. I gained my professional training at Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut and was fortunate to study under Yale professor and former MFAA officer (Monuments Men!), Deane Keller, Pulitzer Award winner, Rudolph Franz Zallinger, and well known illustrator, Howard Munce of Westport, Connnecticut, who along with many other skilled professors, led a rigorous traditional fine arts curriculum including a unique emphasis on trompe l' oeil painting.

Upon graduating from Paier, my creative work featured fine detail very much in alignment with my tromp l' oeil training.  My interest in exploring more expressive and evocative approaches has grown over time and has led me to my most recent collection of oil paintings.

I find inspiration in nature, the Impressionist painters, and the decorative arts.  Some of my favorites being John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer, Eugene Boudin, Helen Frankenthaler, and Raoul Dufy.

My current collection, "By the Sea", is inspired by my southern Connecticut roots and time with my dad sailing on Long Island Sound.  My hope is that the collection provides the viewer a sense of pause, reflection, and appreciation for the beauty of the sea.
