6429 N Jarboe St., Kansas City, MO
I have worked as a multidisciplinary artist in Kansas City since 2007.
My art glass is currently on display and for sale in fine art galleries such as Phoenix Gallery in Lawrence, Phoenix Gallery on the Plaza, Kansas City,Wines by Jennifer in Parkville, MO. I am a participant in the ArtsKC Now Showing Program.
I enjoy collaborating with clients to bring their ideas into reality. One of my favorite things to do, is having the opportunity to collaborate with other talented artists in the City. I have entered and been accepted into local juried shows and I am grateful to have collectors on both the East & West coasts. Having been an art collector myself for more than 30 years I am also an arts advocate. I curate the gallery at Wines by Jennifer in Parkville, MO.
I currently work as a chef seasonally for an event space and do landscape design and maintenance during the summer months. I have been a member of the Parkville Symphonic Band for 22 years.
Art and music are my life.
I began creating my own work in 2006 starting with a kiln 20” X 20” X 20” adding a 45” 25” X13” kiln within 2 years because my philosophy was “go big or go home”. I pursued ways to set myself apart from all of the other glass artists so the works were generally larger with much color and texture. I have welcomed commissions/custom work since 2007. These can be seen on my website under Residential Installations and Sculpture pages. I create individual sculptures for the triathlon awards sponsored by Win for KC as well as their corporate awards to community partners. I have also created awards for the Kansas City Sports Commission. These opportunities have been a rewarding challenge.
