Maret Cissner is a clothing designer and sculptor in Kansas City, MO. Jaime Zuverza is a graphic artist and musician in Austin, TX. Together they have created Cissner/Zuverza, a collaborative brand formed over a shared love of bold patterns, the absurd, and staying up way too late. The interplay between 2D, 3D, and 4D design drives their practice across state lines and cultural identities. Through both analog and digital techniques of designing, painting, printmaking, sculpting, and sewing, they interpret iconic design elements from the last century for a fresh audience. With a dystopian future not hard to imagine, their inaugural line aims to empower positive connections and celebrate inclusiveness through design.
