For All the World to See: Visual Culture and the Struggle for Civil Rights

Mid-America Arts Alliance is pleased to present a preview of the NEH on the Road exhibition For All the World to See: Visual Culture and the Struggle for Civil Rights, open for First Friday December 1 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at 2018 Baltimore in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District. For All the World To See examines the role that visual culture played in shaping and transforming the struggle for racial equality in America from the late 1940s to the mid-1970s. This exhibition preview will feature a selection of objects and images that exemplify the range of negative and positive imagery from media coverage to children’s toys.

The exhibition preview will be on view only for First Friday on December 1. Gallery hours are 6:00–8:00 p.m.
