The Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City will perform Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro,” Rossini’s “William Tell Overture” and Strauss’ “Blue Danube Waltz” on Sunday, March 4 at 4 pm at Grand Avenue Temple, 205 E. Ninth St.
‘Greatest Hits’ of classical music will highlight the Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City ‘”Friends and Family” concert on Sunday, March 4 at 4 pm at Grand Avenue Temple United Methodist Church, 205 E. 9th in downtown Kansas City. Under the baton of conductor Raffaele Cipriano, the orchestra will perform such favorites as Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro,” Rossini’s “William Tell Overture” and Strauss’ “Blue Danube Waltz” along with works by Von Weber, Massenet and Bernstein. The program is a great introduction to classical music for young people. In addition, the concert will also feature the musical instrument “Petting Zoo,” where youngsters can get up close to instruments and musicians. Doors open at 3:30 pm and refreshments will be served at intermission.
