Apt 1/ Apt 2 explores the concept of hospitality and personal community within the world of DIY art exhibitions. Relocating work and personal effects from their shared living space — artists Stephanie Eckermann, Will Toney, Macy Pruitt, and Max Pond will share their ongoing exchange. In response to the sometimes cold nature of art exhibitions, Apt 1 / Apt 2 seeks to create a warm and familiar space to engage with artistic practices that move fluidly through music, art, and food.

Eckerman will create an installation that brings her living room/studio into Open House — sharing photos, zines, and newly composed music. Toney will also experiment with installation using photos and paintings inspired by moving to a new neighborhood. Pruitt, who is primarily a chef will provide scones using a family recipe while displaying paintings inspired by his living and work environment. Pond will show paintings that play on obscured aspects of architecture and food.

Come March 16th for the opening of Apt 1 / Apt 2, an event that functions simultaneously as a gallery exhibition and housewarming party.
