Family-friendly clean water festival in Theis Park featuring a giant puppet performance, roving giant puppets, jugglers, stilt-walkers, music, food trucks, and a Glo party to cap the night.
StoneLion Puppet Theater proudly announces the return of their free Memorial Day weekend show, Puppets for the Planet Festival, Illuminated Waters. This unique, two-day water festival combines giant puppet play, food trucks, interactive art, a glo party, games, music, and more— all occurring at Theis Park right next to Brushcreek.
New artists and artisans present a re-imagined production of Mother's Day for Mother Earth giant puppet show, which has run for the past decade. Come and experience GLOWING giant puppets floating on the water, or in the water, illuminating the importance of cleaning up our water and our behaviors in order to protect our planet. Clean water, clean planet.
Immediately following the giant puppet performance (we are not kidding folks— these puppets get up to 20’ tall requiring up to 10 puppeteers to manipulate), join in the fun at our family-friendly Glo Party. The Glo Party will take you through our environmental impact on the four seasons. Families— often encouraged by their children— will learn how to effect positive change in the environment and their communities through interactive glowing art installations, glowing puppets, glo performers, black light fun, music, and games.
This is a free event! No tickets necessary!!
