Opus, Zoo

Presented by newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble at Kansas City Zoo Polar Bear Passage

People often think contemporary Classical music sounds like a babbling bunch of baboons. Sometimes, that’s on purpose. For the third concert of our 25th anniversary season, we’ve curated a set of works that incorporate animal sounds, themes, and ideas into the music. A parade of whales, camels, sheep, cats, mice, and more lead this family-friendly program of new chamber works.
