The Women - A Staged Reading

The Women - A Staged Reading

Presented by Kansas City Actors Theatre at City Stage in Union Station

Nearly 80 years after their big screen debut, "The Women" are back, still gossiping, still backstabbing, and still torn between their men and their sense of self. Join us for this comedy – a study of the lives and romantic entanglements of several friends and women from all walks of life with whom they interact. "The Women" features 41 characters, read and performed by 19 actors, none of whom are men. This free staged reading of Clare Boothe Luce's "The Women" is directed by Sidonie Garrett of the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and will feature an all-female cast of Kansas City actors at the City Stage in the historical Union Station.

This free staged reading is part of the KCAT Season 13 Reading Series, which is made possible by Rick and Barbie Dierks, and the Kansas City Neighborhood Tourism Development Fund.
