Bach Aria Soloists brings Tango masters – legendary bandoneónist Héctor Del Curto and pianist and Latin Grammy nominee Gustavo Casenave – back to Kansas City for special concert featuring the sensuous Tango music of Astor Piazzolla. Elizabeth Suh Lane and Beau Bledsode of Bach Aria Soloists, and double bassist Jeff Harshbarger, rounds out the excellent quintet that will bring the house down with Piazzolla’s Tango classics along with Old and New Tango.
It has been five years since Bach Aria Soloists last performed their celebrated Night of Tango, named “Best concert of 2013” and “A concert for the ages” by KCMetropolis. Night of Tango will feature the beloved quintet classics by Astor Piazzolla, Argentina’s most famous composer and virtuoso bandoneónist who revolutionized Tango and remains a towering figure more than 25 years after his death.
