Composer and Musician Dana Mengel premieres selections from his new Oregon Trails Suite. Mengel celebrates the great European migration west from Independence to Oregon with his new Oregon Trails Suite.
This event premieres selections from the yet unperformed original composition. The suite shares a compelling and moving American tale mixed with modern composition but based in traditional music.
The performance coincides with a 175th anniversary of the Oregon Trail being celebrated in Independence the weekend of May 18-20.
