Queer Tango Night

Queer Tango Night

Presented by InterUrban ArtHouse at InterUrban ArtHouse

The Redux Society of Kansas City presents a queer tango night. The evening includes information on the history of tango, the queer tango movement that’s currently sweeping the globe, tango lessons for couples of all orientations, and professional demonstrations. The event will be from 7-9pm, tickets are $10

This event is in conjunction with the exhibition "Illuminating the Queer Experience" that exhibits the experiences and perspectives of artists from many facets of the Kansas City LBGBTQIA community, and provides a welcoming platform to share their stories with those in and outside the queer community.

The opening reception will be Friday, June 15th, 5-9pm with work from 20 local LGBTQIA artists and literary readings and spoken word performances happening from 7:30-8:30.

The closing reception will be Friday, July 20th, 5-8pm, with live music from multiple queer musicians.
