Visual Artist, Alex Hamil, will host a reception of his works in both watercolor and oil paintings from the last two years. An artist in both studio work and outdoor painting (en plein air) 27 framed works will be for sale through the month of June.
For the last two decades I've examined my life as an artist, an educator, designer and fabricator through a multitude of professions and artistic expressions. Balancing both studio work and generating an income is no easy task for any artist. The 27+ framed works on display (and for sale) reflect my examinations from the last two years in both the studio process; working from personal photographs, and while painting in the great outdoors via sponsored events and activities around the Midwest region.
I am hoping that by challenging myself to explore new opportunities in various media I continue to grow as an artist and, at some point, find the truest approach possible in sharing my personal understanding of what constitutes 'beauty' with others. - ACH 2018
Free, though contributions can be made at the event to help 'sponsor' Brush Creek Art Walk 2018. Sponsorships are still available for a number of our artist awards and purchase prizes.
