Medea: An American Tragedy

Medea: An American Tragedy

Presented by KC FRINGE at The Arts Asylum

Kansas City Public Theatre (KCPublic) presents Medea: An American Tragedy by Nathan Bowman.  This production, in partnership with the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Center, and Kansas City Parks and Recreation, presents the Greek tragedy as it was meant to be seen: outdoors at Brush Creek Amphitheater.  Medea will also appear as part of KC Fringe Festival, presented in part by American Family Insurance--Gary Woods Agency

An adaptation of the classic Greek tragedy by Euripides, Medea: An American Tragedy tells the story of a woman who is lured to a new country by dreams of freedom and a new life, only to be deceived, exploited, exiled, and her children used as pawns. Her new land has taken everything from her, now she’s taking it back.

Medea: Erika Crane Ricketts
Jason/Creon: Davis DeRock
Chorus: Erdin Schultz-Bever, Lauren Pope, Marie Warner, Markeyta Young, Victoria Kilkenny
