"Artists with developmental disabilities step into the limelight as they claim their place in the world of contemporary art during a collaborative art show. The national exhibition merges the artists and interests of Art Enables, Creative Trails, Hozhoni Foundation, Imagine That!, MOSA Museum of Special Art, N4th Gallery, Sophie's Gallery, and Suzie Cappa Art Center.

Together they celebrate the talents of persons with developmental disabilities while helping them to forge an identity as a person that is creative, original, sensitive, independent, imaginative, and as someone who can affect an emotional response in others with their art.

Featuring the artwork of 32 individual artists, The Road Ahead will touch many lives across the country as it travels for over a year from coast to coast, stopping in eight cities along the way."
