Trolley group tours to experience the Open Spaces exhibits through out Swope Park.
OpenSpaces KC is a 9-week festival celebrating the visual and performing artists of Kansas City along with their national and international counterparts. Tours will be at 10 AM and 1PM every Saturday and Sunday. The tour will approximately take 2 hours. We will be exploring the art installations placed in the open spaces and tucked in hidden places of Swope Park. We will take a progressive approach through the park as we learn the story of how we came to have such a treasure in our city, and what amenities we have available to us year-round now, as we appreciate the astounding art pieces along the way.
While this is a trolley tour through the park, this tour also involves substantial walking to view, appreciate, and photograph some of the art pieces and not all places are handicapped accessible. Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. We will tour rain or shine but severe weather can affect tour schedule. Be sure to leave good contact information when reserving your seats. You will be contacted by phone and email regarding any changes in dates or time. Tour leaves from the Open Spaces Village in Swope Park.
Tickets are $24 each and are pre-purchase only. Due to limited seating seats will need to be purchased in advance. We cannot guarantee walk-up ticket availability. More dates coming soon.
