As a thirty year veteran of the Kansas City blues scene, John Paul Drum stands out. Influenced by Eddie Vinson to Miles Davis, to Sonny Boy Williamson to Big Walter Horton, he draws on all his favorite mentors. He studied under Provine “Little” Hatch and Grammy Award winning Sugar Blue. A Keith Richards of harmonica, leading a ferocious band of players, including Bill Dye on guitar, Jim Beisman, keys; Ricardo Quintero, bass, and Allen Fishell, drums.
