The Strawberry Swing Indie Craft Fair has partnered with Open Spaces KC and will be popping-up with 50+ artists during Open Spaces: The Weekend - Janelle Monáe, The Roots & Vijay Iyer, Oct 13-14th in The Village in Swope Park! Open Spaces celebrate's diversity, community, artistic expression & creative innovation. We can't wait to Swing with you & support the handmade movement!
There will be many {FREE} activities going on in The Village this weekend:
// Sat & Sun / 12-6- Tom Styrkowicz will have his ONEbyONE Community Portrait Studio set up.
// Sat / 1:00 pm - The Last Carnival Acrobats will perform their physical theater & circus troupe specializing in acrobatic, aerial arts & fire performance
// Sat / 2:00 pm - Vodvill Entertainment Company will have their Hedge People {performers portraying topiary bushes shaped into human form!} mixing & mingling with the crowd
// Sat / 7:00 pm - Join Yosh the Fire Guy for after-hours revelry
// Sun / 1:00 pm - Heart of America Shakespeare Festival will have Team Shakespeare performances
// Sun / 4:00 pm - Sankofa Danzafro - The City of Others will be bringing live drumming & singing with powerful Afro-Colombian contemporary dance.
