The William Baker Festival Singers join with guitarist Beau Bledsoe and operatic soprano Victoria Botero in a gala concert benefiting Jerusalem Farm
The William Baker Festival Singers have presented a "Thanksgiving Concert for Human Need" each year since 1998 on the Friday before Thanksgiving Day. This year the choir is joined by two of Kansas City's most beloved musicians, guitarist Beau Bledsoe and soprano Victoria Botero. The Festival Singers will be led by Music Director William Baker, and by Student Intern Niccole Winney. Repertoire includes African American spirituals and gospel songs, works by Latino composers, and a wide variety of classical favorites. All proceeds after expenses benefit Jerusalem Farms.
The William Baker Festival Singers is a 50-voice semi-professional chorale based in Roeland Park, Kansas. Tours have taken the choir to New York City, Washington, DC, Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, Austin, New Orleans, San Antonio, and many other cities. The choir has produced over a dozen nationally released recordings and been featured on numerous national radio shows, including National Public Radio's Performance Today.
