A conversation with the people behind the quilts and the 1,000 Footsteps Exhibit depicting their families’ flights from their home countries, lives in refugee camps, and journeys to the United States.
Join The Story Center on Wednesday, November 28, at 7:00 p.m., for a conversation with the people behind the quilts and the 1,000 Footsteps Exhibit. The exhibit showcases unique quilts made by refugees who participated in the Once We Were Refugees vocational program depicting their families' flights from their home countries, lives in refugee camps, and journeys to the United States. This event will be held in the Community Hall of Mid-Continent Public Library's Woodneath Library Center (8900 NE Flintlock Road, Kansas City, MO 64157).
