Fine Art Friday at the Kemper Museum | February: Radial Symmetry

Fine Art Friday at the Kemper Museum | February: Radial Symmetry

Presented by Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art at Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art

For this special STEAM-themed Fine Art Friday, homeschoolers will explore radial symmetry in the installation Wallflowers (Mixed Emotions) by Polly Apfelbaum and learn how math and art are connected, then create their own radially symmetrical artwork!

Second Friday of each month

Docent-led tour 1:00 p.m.- 1:20 p.m.

Art Activity 1:20 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.

Fine Art Friday’s activities change monthly and are inspired by artwork in the Museum’s current exhibitions. Join a Kemper Museum educator and docent for interactive experiences in the Museum’s galleries that encourage students to explore art through observation, discussion, and activities. This program is intended to supplement a Homeschooling curriculum.
