Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation - Pre-Opening

Presented by Four Chapter Gallery at Four Chapter Gallery

Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation is a collection of artistic works that examine the historic massacre outside Tulsa, OK, popularly known as “Black Wall Street.” The massacre, which took place in the summer of 1921, swelled in brutal force as white residents murdered hundreds of black residents and razed Greenwood, OK - a thriving African American neighborhood - in the span of a few hours.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see the art work, and to interact with the exhibition's artist, DAWN TREE, as well as MECHELLE BROWN, Program Coordinator at the Greenwood Cultural Center in Tulsa, OK.

Michelle and Dawn will give a brief presentation about Black Wall Street at 3:30p.m. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Refreshments will be served.
