In this timely and relevant program, we present the works of living composers reacting to this current moment of history. The music is reflective and astute. It represents the artistic and emotional outpourings of four phenomenal contemporary composers: Julia Barry, Bonnie McClarty, Tawnie Olson, and Leslee Wood. Ranging from poignant to ecstatic, from despondent to triumphant, the music addresses present issues with sensitivity, beauty, passion, and intelligence.
The concert includes two world premieres and features pianist Jessica Koebbe and cellist Audrey Herren joining the four women of Ignea Strata.
