The Collective, a tribe of poets and percussionists passionate about preserving the spirit of the African and Native drum, invites you to join the circle as Jessica Ayala, Sheri Purpose Hall, Les Izmore, Brad Williams, Bird Fleming, Andres Ramirez and special guests take you on a journey of honoring our past and present resistencia through the art of oral tradition.
Program begins at 6:30 p.m. --food and fellowship immediately following. A free-will offering will benefit Traditional Music Society, an organization devoted to the development of community cohesiveness through the study of music and dance.
The event is free; donations will be accepted to support the Traditional Music Society. First come first serve. Open to the public.
