Artist Talk | Anthony Hernandez

Presented by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

Please join us for a lively discussion with L.A.-based photographer Anthony Hernandez, who will speak about his life and work. Hernandez’s pictures focus on the city’s less glamourous realities: its mundane architecture, auto-centric infrastructure, and the way this design affects the lives of residents. Underscoring his photographs is an abiding concern for issues of race and class, as they both impact, and are shaped by, this urban environment. Offered in connection with the exhibition Anthony Hernandez: L.A. Landscapes.
