Continuing Education at the Kansas City Art Institute presents, Woodworking Basics: The Cutting Board, for adults ages 18+. In this course, students will design and create their own cutting board out of hard maple. From drawing to cutting, shaping, sanding, oiling, students will start the day with a block of wood and leave with a refined custom cutting board. Power and hand tool processes will be covered including the bandsaw, table-router, drill-press, planes, chisels and a wide variety of hand tools.
