Barbara Neth
Vibrant color and the play of light and shadow are what draw me to many of the subjects of my paintings. A glimpse of a glorious orange or a riveting display of violet is no less interesting than the spidery shadows of trailing leaves. The scenes are captivating, but so is the splash, drip and spatter I find exciting to watch when I put color on the paper and see the amazing things that begin to develop. Looking at what is impossible to capture, clone or hold, I try to do it anyway with the hope that my work may stir wonder during someone's day alive.
