A Celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month

Presented by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and William Baker Choral Foundation at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

Join The William Baker Festival Singers in a glorious celebration of the contributions of immigrants featuring selections from across the globe. Composer in Residence ed Frazier Davis, Music Director William Baker, Associate Music Director Christine Freeman, Student Intern Niccole Winney, and the golden voices of the Festival Singers offer a diverse and thrilling celebration of our beautiful world.

The William Baker Festival Singers is a 50-voice semi-professional chorale specializing in sacred short form classical works and spirituals, along with masterworks for chorus and orchestra performed annually with members of the Kansas City Symphony. Tracing its history to the original Festival Singers created by William Baker in Atlanta in 1985, the present ensemble in Kansas City was founded in October 1998 and is now in its 21st concert season.
