Anne-Sophie Mutter, Violinist, in a Beethoven Celebration | January 21, 2020 7:30PM – 9:30PM at the Folly Theater in Kansas City, MO | Presented by Harriman-Jewell Series
Winner of countless awards and honors, Mutter is one of the greatest violinists of our day. The Washington Post praises Mutter’s “turbo-charged” sound, which has been filling concert halls since her legendary first performance at age 13 with the Berlin Philharmonic and Herbert von Karajan in 1977. Her three previous appearances on the Harriman-Jewell Series have endeared her to Kansas City music lovers.
To celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday, Mutter will be joined by her longtime collaborator, pianist Lambert Orkis, to perform some of Beethoven’s most popular music, including the “Kreutzer” sonata and the lovely “Spring” sonata.
