In a paean to childhood days in St. Joe, Louisiana, Guinotte Wise's sculpture show at The Hilliard Gallery, opening May 3rd, First Friday, is named "A Love Letter to Tensas Parish." The work reflects time spent and things seen in the bucolic delta town and surrounding area during an impressionable period of Wise's boyhood.
