Join us July 13th at the 1900 building as we happily welcome back Ehud Ettun & Henrique Eisenmann for a special music filled night you won’t want to miss!
“In literally everything they do they leave the listener breathless, for scarcely has one thought through one of the duo’s idea, than another comes into being, unfolding musically more beautiful than the first. It confirms how jazz can work beautifully with other influences, making its universe a better place." (Jazz Trail review)
Bassist Ehud Ettun (Israel) and pianist Henrique Eisenmann (Brazil) met in 2010 at the New England Conservatory in Boston, and have since performed and toured all over the world, drawing inspiration from different folk world rhythms, chants, cultures and poems. The duo creates a unique musical universe, modern, thought-provoking, but at the same time lyrical, playful and full of improvisation.
On the repertoire, originals by Ehud and Eisenmann and reinvented Jazz Standards. Brazilian and Middle-Eastern music lend their exotic rhythms to Monk, Ellington, Steve Swallow. The concert also features pieces from Eisenmann’s latest release “The free poetics of Henrique Eisenmann” (2017).
