A collaborative show of prints and collage
Peyton Pitts is a printmaker who works in many different media. "The work I make features images and objects directly appropriated from Art History as well as from a personal lexicon of visual metaphors and symbols for aspects of my experience, like love death, humor, and culture."
Through her lines and figures she creates a "visual silence" that celebrates the images she pulls her inspiration from. "My goal is to archive, catalogue, and perpetuate the things that I find beautiful or profound.
Ryan Plaisance is a freelance animator and illustrator. "I enjoy making work traditionally with my bare hands, but I work through digital media as well."
Pitts is from Tulsa, OK and Plaisance was raised in Mississippi. Both are recent graduates of the Kansas City Art Institution
