Artist: SONIÉ JOI THOMPSON-RUFFIN

Sonié Joi Thompson-Ruffin has dedicated her life’s work as an artist

sharing the experiences of the African American community, this

exhibition is no different. As we embark upon 400 Years, a testimony to

slavery, unwritten checks, non-promissory notes to a people in a country

that has difficulty accepting the reality of its history, we explore the

complexities of slavery, freedom, and the Revival of Healing that rests at

the core of this nation’s validity within the American narrative.
