Together, Torn Label Brewing Company and Studios Inc, are pleased to
present Synesthesia: Collaboration of Senses, an exhibition highlighting the unique relationship between Torn Label Brewing Company and Studios Inc.

Synesthesia is a manifestation of that partnership, featuring Torn Label employees selecting works from the permanent collection at Studios Inc, with some pieces having an accompanying beer pairing meant to intertwine the viewer’s sense of sight and taste.

For the past 16 years, Studios Inc has been an art outpost located on the east-side of the Crossroads and has witnessed downtown Kansas City, the East Crossroads in particular, slowly transform. Many local brewers have found their home in this burgeoning neighborhood. Just over five years ago, Torn Label Brewing Company decided to locate their business in a former studio space within the Studios Inc facility and has enjoyed sharing in and contributing to the creative spirit found there.

Launched to serve mid-career artists, Studios Inc is Kansas City’s nonprofit arts organization offering pivotal three-year residencies to mid-career artists who are poised to significantly expand their careers.  Studios Inc offers a unique immersion experience for resident artists.
