Blue Monday Jam Session: Jason Goudeau

Bring your instrument and sit in at the weekly Blue Monday Jam Session – or just take in the sounds of one of Kansas City’s best jam sessions. Each Monday night begins with a set by a featured ensemble and then we open the mic to interested musicians. Doors open at 5:00 pm, live music starts at 7:00 pm, jam session starts at 8:00 pm. Arrive early to sign up! This week's Blue Monday Jam Session is hosted by trombonist Jason Goudeau.

Jason Goudeau, trombonist, arranger, and composer is a native of Houston, Texas, where he attended the highly acclaimed High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He studied jazz under the direction of Dr. Robert Morgan and has performed with many artists throughout the past two decades. He was awarded the first “George Salisbury Memorial Scholarship” given at UMKC in 1985 and earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from UMKC in 1989. He has performed with many local, and national artists including Bobby Watson, Kirk Whalum and others.
