In the framework of the Year of German-American Friendship: Wunderbar Together, Goethe Pop Up Kansas City welcomes you together with our new partner, the Kansas City Public Library, to a free lunchtime concert at Kirk Hall.

Join us for a performance featuring Jayne Siemens, soprano, and Ellen Sommer, piano, showcasing works both from and inspired by German artists including Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. This assortment of musical arrangements will include German Cabaret and well-loved Broadway show tunes from Kurt Weill and Friedrich Hollaender; Mignon Songs set by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, and Hugo Wolf; and arias from Charles Gounod’s opera Faust and Arrigo Boito’s Mefistofele.
