"Seen, and Giving" A dual show highlighting the artists appreciation for life's splendid impermanence. While Seen focuses on gaining emotional nourishment from any one moment as it passes through time, Giving is a celebration of physical nourishment. A fruit at the height of it’s ripeness is a perfect symbol for temporary perfection; as the object will get no more desirable after the moment of the painting; either be eaten or rot. Indeed how the paintings from Seen aim to narrate the subject depicted, so do works from Giving. It is clear through the use of vibrant color and joyful arrangement the artist has a fondness for the vegetables and fruits she tenderly paints, allowing the oil or gouache to comfortably fluctuate between loose impressions to crisp outlines."
