Speaking My Truth, works by Lorrie Eigles

Speaking My Truth, works by Lorrie Eigles

Presented by Kansas City Artists Coalition at The ArtsKC Gallery

My art is a counterpoint to the “horrors of the world”.  It is colorful, abstract, sometimes whimsical, with flowing images that are intriguing and complex.  My intention is to bring positive feelings to people, to awaken their joy for life.  When we touch the beauty within us, we touch a great source of power. When we experience the positive energy of beauty, we feel enlivened, filled with hope and a sense of possibility.

This exhibition represents the many years it has taken to gradually ‘Find My Voice’ and create authentic art that reflects what’s really true and important to me.  Inspiration for this art has come from many sources that I stay open to including music from ‘Hamilton’, a Henry Moore sculpture, nature, and emotions (to open up instead of withdrawing when feeling low).
