Both tragic and triumphant, set sail on one thrilling voyage when Kansas City’s Community Theater, The Barn Players present the modern American theater classic TITANIC, THE MUSICAL: February 13th through 23rd, 2020 at downtown’s Arts Asylum…
Just before midnight on April 14th, 1912 on her first and only trip from the United Kingdom to New York, the Royal Mail Ship TITANIC collided with an iceberg and the seemingly unsinkable ship was lost to the depths of the North Atlantic. Her story has since became a naval legend and one of the most memorable events of the 20th Century. This stunning Barn Players production of TITANIC, THE MUSICAL was written by Maury Yeston (Music & Lyrics: Nine, Grand Hotel) and Peter Stone (Book: 1776, My One And Only) and focuses on the ship’s passenger’s and the crew’s hopes and fears as they face their life or death situation. Epic in scale, you will meet the key figures who played a part in this fateful voyage. The stirring music throughout is unforgettable, and you will discover why the show won Tony Awards for Best Original Score, Best Musical, Best Book, and more.
