Screening of Theater Production Afeard and Ignite KC Film Festival Friday, April 17 & 18 at 7:30 p.m. reception, 8 p.m. featured film premiere Arrupe Hall Auditorium
Join Rockhurst theater students for the first-ever film theater production and a screening of student-produced short films. Inspired by Saint Ignatius Loyola and the quote, “Go forth and set the world on fire” this presentation produced by Ignite KC Films will feature a red carpet reception with photo opportunities and the premiere of Afeard, based on a screenplay written and directed by Matthew Schmidli and performed and filmed by Rockhurst students. Afeard features vignettes all related to the theme of fear. Following the feature presentation on April 17 will be the premieres of several student produced films to be adjudicated by a panel of Rockhurst professors and staff. Awards for best film, audience choice, and runner-up for best film will be given to the winning film teams following the feature presentation on April 18, including a re-screening of the winner of best film.
