Etched in Memory Tour

Presented by National WWI Museum and Memorial at National WWI Museum and Memorial

James Alphege Brewer collector Ben Dunham offers a behind-the-scenes tour of Etched in Memory, an exhibition that features the famed artist’s etchings from World War I. Drawing inspiration from the cathedrals, churches and town buildings in Northern France and Belgium that were threatened or damaged during the war, Brewer’s works were popular in the U.S. and Great Britain where they signaled solidarity with the Allied cause and the cultural losses of the conflict. Learn about Brewer’s life, legacy and how he helped the public understand the devastating effects of the war. Light snacks and beverages provided. FREE with RSVP | Ellis Gallery
