‘Ways to Wander’ and ‘Ways to Wander the Gallery’ are two books, conceived and editedby Qualmann and Hind, that invite the reader to interpret and embody a Wander Score. Inspiredby contemporary walking arts practice and performance, the books contain instructions for making or taking a walk. Wander Scores encourage experimentation, movement, creation,participation and spontaneity and interpretation.In this workshop we will explore the concept of the Wander Score to explore the environment ofKCAI, as co-creating experiences. We will improvise performances, write poetic texts, scorenew walks and reflect upon the wandering as a phenomenological experience.   We will worktogether with a series of experimental and experiential activities followed by reflection andadaptions – translating our actions into concepts for a page.We will begin by introducing our journeys into walking art practice, tracing our trajectoriesthrough live art, conceptual art, theatre making, creative writing and social practice. We willactively explore the connections that inspire our work; walking and listening; walking andcomposition; walking and instructions; walking and mark making; walking and environment;walking and visibility. We will work on documentation and recording, putting our walks intowords to be shared with others as new Wander Scores.
