When it came to Victorian medical treatment, many remedies were useless at best and dangerous at worst. From mercury to tobacco, these “medicines” could be downright deadly.
With Dr. Michael Monaco, MD at the UMKC School of Medicine, Kansas City Chiefs team physician, and Civil War medicine expert.
