Join us for a night of Latin jazz, featuring 12-year old piano prodigy, José André Montaño. José is joined by Kansas City percussionist Brandon Draper and bassist Micah Herman, along with World Music instrumentalist and special guest, Amado Espinoza.
Pianist and composer José André Montaño is from Cochabamba, Bolivia. At twelve years old, he has already delighted listeners in prestigious festivals and concert halls across the Americas, including the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center. Audiences are amazed by José’s speed and accuracy. He bridges Jazz, Rock, Blues, Bossa Nova, Latin American Folk and World Music with playful and inspired compositions and a personal style seasoned with Latin rhythms and Jazz harmonies.
