Janis Schwartz Photography Exhibit at Images Art Gallery

Presented by Images Art Gallery at Images Art Gallery

Janis Schwartz's BLACK & WHITE photographs of the Southwest. "This entire body of work shot during my 14 years of living there is composed of black and white silver gelatin prints, was shot on film and printed in the wet darkroom, one of my passions. My film of choice was Kodak High Speed Infrared which captures light from the invisible infrared spectrum adding a bit of “glow” to the finished print in a very ethereal manner. Kodak stopped production of this film 15 years ago so this work has special historical meaning to all traditional photography enthusiasts! New Mexico with it’s majority of Spanish and Native American cultures offers a very unique visual insight to a part of our countries history and traditions rarely experienced elsewhere within our country borders." Rodeos/Architecture/Landscapes/Native American Culture all combine to make this an exhibit worth attending! Bold & Dramatic! We at Images Art Gallery are following the Governor's social distancing guidelines. We are providing masks for our guests and assure that there are not more than allowable number of people inside at any given time.
